A. The student and/ or parent will meet with the teacher first to come to a resolution regarding a grade change request or grade dispute.

B. If no satisfaction from that meeting with the teacher, next step option is for the student and parent to meet with the teacher, counselor, and VP (please contact Mrs. Stuart to schedule).

C. If no satisfaction from that meeting, then the student and parent would meet with Principal and the teacher. (Please contact Mrs. Ayala to schedule).

D- Should no satisfaction come from the meeting with Principal , he will advise you of the next steps should you reach this point.

Note: The teacher(s) should have previously provided a copy of the syllabus to the student which outlines the grading policies.

If the student has a 504 or IEP, then the case manager/advisor should be present.
at the meeting(s).

For online courses taken outside of Del Campo HS:

• Send a proof of course completion certificate or official transcript to Ms. Lukenbaugh AND your Del Campo Counselor
  • Online classes through one or more of the following: BYU, Silicon Valley, ARC, Options for Youth, etc. Must be completed with a finish date before the end of the Semester that you want your course to count towards. For example, If you need it to be for the Spring Semester 2, it needs to be completed and sent on or before the last day of school.  
• APEX courses outside of San Juan Unified - transcripts MUST be sent to Ms. Lukenbaugh through Parchment. Unofficial copies will not be accepted. 
• APEX courses through San Juan Unified -  are automatically posted to your Del Campo transcript every term. 
  • Student & Parent Portals- once the Del Campo transcript is updated, the changes/ updates will automatically be viewable
  • Parchment- a new transcript request (order) must be submitted to see the changes/ updates. Parchment does not automatically update with grade additions or changes.

When creating your account in Parchment, be sure to list ALL high schools and years attended (drop down when creating your account). If Del Campo is not the last school you attended, please contact your last school attended for the most up-to-date transcript.  

Once the Del Campo transcript is updated, the changes/ updates will automatically show in Q. 

In Parchment, a new transcript request (order) must be submitted to see the changes/ updates.

Parchment does not automatically update with grade additions or changes.

You may request your official transcript through Parchment and have it sent directly to the College of your choice electronically or request an unofficial copy for yourself. 

It is much quicker, and you will get a notification once it's received and when it's opened.

To avoid delay in processing, please make sure you use your full legal name you went by while attending Del Campo. No abbreviations or nicknames.

Starting in May, transcripts are held for current seniors until final grades are submitted in June. If you would like your transcripts sooner, please email Ms. Lukenbaugh

Sacramento County Department of Assistance or Social Security forms are filled out by Ms. Lukenbaugh. Students may bring in documents during non class times only, and pick up during lunch or before/after school. Parents bringing in documents will need to have a Photo ID to have documents completed, or their student will need to pick up the completed document.

If forms are incorrectly filled out or missing pages, the completion process may be delayed.  

Sacramento County Department of Assistance Forms: Write the student's name at the top and leave the rest of the form blank. 

Social Security Forms: Bring pages 1-6.

ALL FAMILIES withdrawing from Del Campo must : 

• Parent(s)  must submit the Official Parent Withdrawal Request Form (submit to Registrar Ms. Lukenbaugh) A picture ID is required to complete the withdrawal process.
• Return all Del Campo materials (Chromebook, textbooks, athletic equipment, etc.) prior to the withdrawal
• Call 916-971-5570 or email the Del Campo registrar, Sue Lukenbaugh, to schedule an appointment to withdraw your student. Appointments subject to availability
• NOTE- Students with a 504 or IEP MUST meet with the Case Manager prior to withdrawal to El Sereno.
  • El Sereno withdrawals must go through San Juan Central and be approved for an Intra- District Transfer prior to the withdrawal.

Official Cumulative Record Requests can be mailed or emailed to the Del Campo Registrar (Ms. Lukenbaugh) on School Letterhead.

All San Juan Central enrollments, transfers, and address changes can be done online. You can call for assistance (916-726-5826) or visit https://www.sanjuan.edu/enrollment

Once you are notified that your student is enrolled, the Del Campo HS Counseling Office will contact your family to set an appointment to create a schedule for your student with the grade level counselor. 

• Please bring the following documents
  • If applicable: a copy of the most recent 504 Plan and/ or IEP 
  • Withdraw grades from the previous school
  • Copies of the transcript

Address Changes (Open all year round ) Any family who has an address change within San Juan Unified or who moves out of the district and wants to stay within San Juan Unified schools can do one of the following:

• If a family moves out of San Juan Unified and wishes to stay in San Juan Unified schools, they must submit an Interdistrict Transfer Permit (ITP) from the new resident district
• Go to the new resident district to be released ) and then fill out our online Interdistrict Transfer form
• Then upload a copy of the release paperwork you filled out for the new resident district.

504 Documents

Prior to the release of any requested 504 documents, the requestor MUST complete the Consent to Release Records Form

Current Del Campo students: please contact your Counselor or Case Manager. 

Graduates or former students: please complete a request for the Student Records Form and contact the Registrar.

504 Plans are kept at Del campo for five (5) years past the student's graduation year; then are destroyed. 

IEP (Individual Education Plan) Documents

Current Del Campo students, please contact your case manager for information and for a complete copy of your IEP.It is HIGHLY recommended for graduating seniors to take their brown folder when graduating. Complete copies are not always available.

All IEP's (complete or partial) are sent to the Special Education Office when a student leaves Del Campo (graduated or withdrawn).

These records are kept for five (5) years past the student's graduation year, then destroyed.

Cal Grant (GPA Verification) is now filed electronically for all San Juan Unified seniors through the San Juan School District Office.  The FAFSA must be submitted by March 2 in order to submit a CAL Grant Request. 

All Transcripts can be sent to the NCAA Clearing House through your Parchment Account (standard transcript requesting procedures)

The priority deadline is April 2, 2025. You must submit a FAFSA prior to submitting a Cal Grant Request

The FAFSA form must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on June 30, 2026. Any corrections or updates must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on Sept. 14, 2024.

Cal Grant

Cal Grant requires submission of a school-certified GPA by April 2, 2025. For additional community college Cal Grants, apply by Sept. 2, 2025 (date postmarked).

California Dream Act

If you’re a noncitizen without a Social Security card or had one issued through the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, you should fill out the California Dream Act Application at dream.csac.ca.gov. Contact the California Student Aid Commission at csac.ca.gov or your financial aid office for more information.

All Other Aid

Check with the financial aid office at the college or career school you plan to attend for more information on available state aid and deadlines.

Per San Juan Unified School District Board Policy, San Juan Unified no longer ranks students. In keeping with nation-wide practices, class ranking is no longer reported to Institutions of Higher Learning nor is the information given to students or families due to the innumerable variations that can occur in GPA calculations. Students will be evaluated on individual merit without comparison to others.
